About Dr. Michelson

Dr. Michelson has a special interest in adolescent health, women's health, and integrative mental health. She enjoys working with teenage girls and women navigating concerns such as PMS, painful or irregular periods, acne, fatigue, mood changes, anxiety, and perimenopause. She also welcomes patients of all ages and genders seeking naturopathic care for a wide range of health concerns.

Dr. Michelson values building collaborative relationships with her patients and creating space for open, honest conversations about health. She strives to help patients feel heard, understand their options, and feel confident participating in decisions about their care. She strives to practice in a body-positive, weight-neutral, and inclusive way, creating a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, cultures, genders, and body types.

In her practice, Dr. Michelson considers the many factors that influence health, from physiology and daily habits to stress, relationships, and environment. She integrates conventional medicine with naturopathic approaches, including nutrition, lifestyle counseling, and botanical medicine, to develop individualized, evidence-informed treatment plans. She works with patients to identify practical changes and approaches that fit their needs, goals, and circumstances.

Dr. Michelson earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, Oregon, and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Montana with bachelor's degrees in psychology and women's, gender, and sexuality studies. She completed a family medicine residency at Montana Whole Health in Missoula, with a focus on pediatric and adolescent health.

As a Missoula native, Dr. Michelson is grateful to continue caring for the community she calls home. In her free time, you might find Dr. Michelson trekking up a mountain with her dog Oakley, wading into a cold river with a fly rod in hand, or discovering new flavors in the kitchen with her partner, Kate.
