Naturopathic Care

The main work of the Naturopathic Doctors at Natura is to provide whole-person naturopathic medical care. In doing so, they can function as primary care providers or as adjunctive providers, working alongside your other primary care provider.
Building on the principles of Naturopathic Medicine, their care is focused on addressing the root causes of your health conditions and providing low-risk, integrative treatments.
Consultations with Natura naturopathic doctors are done in person and telemedicine, including phone and video.
Natura's providers are licensed to provide care for providers in both Montana and Idaho
Typical Patient Journey
First Office Visit
Meet with your naturopathic doctor. These visits are typically 90 minutes long and include a thorough history, physical exam, and establishing a robust treatment plan. This often includes lab testing, supplement or medication prescriptions, IV therapy, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, and/or lifestyle recommendations.
Second Office Visit
Future Office Visits
During your second visit, your naturopathic doctor will follow up from your first visit, review any labs, check in on how well supplements and other treatments are working, and adjust treatment plans moving forward.
The frequency of future office visits is determined in consultation with your naturopathic doctor and may vary anywhere between 2 weeks to 6 months, depending on the intensity of your health condition and the need for follow up.
Start Treatment Plan. Complete labs and imaging, start using therapies, etc.
Frequently asked questions
Does Natura offer Telemedicine visits?
Yes, Natura does offer phone or virtual Telemed appointments. The virtual and phone appointment charges are the same as if the patient was in-person. When scheduling your appointment, please let the front desk know that you prefer to have a virtual Telemed appointment. You will receive a link in your email to access your Telemed appointment. At the time of your appointment, please click on that emailed link from your computer or smartphone to share the video call with your doctor. If you’re having trouble joining the call, or want to use the telephone instead, click on the participant’s icon on the left, and you’ll see instructions for joining the call by phone. You can also call the front desk at (406) 317-1965 to troubleshoot issues or switch to a phone call.
Does Natura offer yearly well-woman exams?
Yes, we do! You may be asked to see a different physician than you normally see for a well woman exam. For more information, please visit our page about Reproductive and Hormone Care.
What if my doctor isn't available to see me
The naturopathic doctors at Natura work in a collaborative team environment. If you need acute care and your primary doctor is not available to see you, you may be offered to see one of our other naturopathic doctors. They will communicate the results of your acute visit with your primary doctor and ensure continuity of care.
What if I need help after hours?
Natura always has a doctor on call. If you need anything urgently after-hours, please call the office at (406) 317-1965 and the answering service will contact the physician currently on call. There will likely be a charge incurred. The on-call doctor may not be your primary doctor. For Pediatric Patients needing after-hours on-call care, please contact Montana Pediatrics, who can provide off-hours telemedicine pediatric care. Contact them through their website: www.montanapediatrics.org. On-call Natura providers are not equipped to provide after-hours on-call support for Pediatric patients. For emergencies, call 911 or seek emergency care.
