Natura Welcomes Dr. Michael Smith

Dr. Michael Smith, ND joins the Natura team as the newest naturopathic doctor and is excited to help you progress along your health journey.

Dr. Smith is passionate about supporting the health and wellness of patients of all ages, across the lifespan and throughout generations. He believes that, when possible, healing is best achieved on the family level as family members can support each other in their healing journeys. While treating patients with an integrative and holistic approach, he taps a broad “toolbox” of therapies, including botanical medicine, nutrition, and hydrotherapy. He was trained in clinical homeopathy by the Center for Education and Development of Clinical Homeopathy (CEDH) and routinely uses homeopathy in his practice.

Dr. Smith received his medical training from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Before that, he completed a master’s degree in New York City where his research focused on epigenetics and neuroscience. Dr. Smith has previously filled roles in the biotechnology and medical devices sector and various community organizations.

Before coming to Natura, he practiced at Focused Family Integrative Medicine in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He continues to care for Idaho-based patients via telemedicine.

In his free time, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, cooking and baking, and making music, including singing and playing the piano, violin, and guitar.
